The candy cane former is used in conjunction with the Beacon Stickmaster, fed by an automatic Batch Roller and wrapped on a horizontal wrapping machine. Our candy forming machines are used by the leading candy manufacturers.

The Cane Forming and Cooling Conveyor system includes an indexing feed system driven by a variable frequency motor, with encoder and index sensor connected to the control system. There are two sets of brushes horizontally opposed to receive the candy stick from the wrapping machine out feed belt and deliver into an 8-station index drum. There is a provision for additional heat, stick even-ending, anti bounce springs and crooking guides to form the stick over the lug on the conveyor chain.

The conveyor itself is about 100 feet long with air temperature range at 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit. The frame is stainless steel with cooling air directed over the canes as they travel through the conveyor.

Aluminum forming lugs are bolted to heavy duty plastic tabletop chain. Precision chain guides, adjustable to cane size, retain lug chain and formed canes.

A 3 HP AC variable frequency drive with inverter control receives the wrapped sticks from the stick feeder to produce canes up to 200 canes per minute, depending upon length of stick.

All cooling air and duct work to be provided by customer.

An electronics package is available for synchronization to include encoders, proximity switch indexers, machine controllers, transformer and testing equipment.
